Do you have any memories of playing with your Barbie Dolls and having Ken and Barbie getting married?  I sure do! My friends would bring over their Barbie’s so we have enough bridesmaids and people in the church. Playing make believe was so much easier than the real deal.  Now that I am planning my daughter’s wedding I wish I could call my friends and they would do their part like when we were children, but it doesn’t work that way. It sounds like it’s time for me to do a reality check. Okay off I go today to buy the wedding favors and a wedding garter.  Then my daughter said she wants to wear a wedding garter belt on top of a wedding bridal garter.  That’s the way they do these days.  I was not aware of this, but I am learning quickly.  I laughed a little and said how about if you wear a prom garter too.  We both laughed and finished shopping for the day.  We still have our sense of humor which is always a good thing to keep close by when you’re under this type of stress.

I am convinced that a wedding bell theme is the way to go and neither of us will regret it.  We want to coordinate the decorations (we already have them) with the favors, so we’re going to buy wedding bell favors.  Isn’t that going to be cute?  I saw the cutest wedding bell favor on the cover of a magazine.  It will match our decorations exactly.  Now we need to find out how much it’s going hit our budget.  We were pleasantly surprised to learn the name of the store is cheap wedding bell favors, but that only pertains to the price, not the quality of the merchandise.  This is really a blessing financially, and, Lord knows, we need it.  We were blessed by the fact that the price is low and we move past decorations and wedding favors and onto wedding cake…yum yum!

Everyone get on your mark, get set and go get your ring bearer pillows.  Sometimes that’s what it feels like to me as I only have the weekends to work on my wedding.  I wake up Saturday morning and I feel like I am getting ready for a marathon.  Based on that, I try to put a fun spin on the day.  Honestly, I am looking forward to purchasing wedding ring bearer pillows.  I am going to use them for pillow favors too, you know each guest will get pillow party favors.
